Psychotherapy Clients

Clients come to me to better understand their reactions to life, and relationships with others. I offer a calm, and spacious environment for my clients to explore their inner world of thoughts, feelings and emotions and how their body participates in wellness.

Teaching my clients ways to ground in the body and be in the present moment is one way of beginning a session. When clients feel grounded and centered enough in their bodies and thoughts, it becomes possible to explore and hold strong emotions like fear, anger or deep pain.

Healing becomes possible as we come into relationship with parts of the personality that require compassion and need to feel understood and accepted. Even the inner critics need compassion and care to make changes. My intention is to offer creative ways to navigate the rivers of emotion.

Helping clients unburden what feels difficult to carry emotionally or in the body requires care, and tenderness. Incorporating body centered practices including the Internal Family Systems Model facilitates therapy that is transformative and joyful.

My clients work on relationship issues, life changes, anxiety, depression, eating issues, recovery from illness and trauma. Many feel empowered as they become more effective in their relationships and discover how to safely bring about the changes they want in their lives.
